Trade shows can be expensive and in parts of the world where business moves in the blink of an eye perhaps unnecessary. In the UAE trade shows are part of business life for many industries, especially those which operate business to business.
The UAE is not one of those places where business moves in the blink of an eye. The UAE is a place that sees contracts signed after a relationship has been built. This is the value of trade shows like CABSAT, an event for the broadcast industry in Dubai. Events like GITEX and CItyscape make newspaper headlines, primarily because everyone loves a deal. Events like CABSAT, WETEX, and the myriad of others the UAE hosts, pass by almost unnoticed, by the public that is. But it is at these events business cards are exchanged, hands are shaken, and talks are started.
Trade show attendance will show local business that a company is committed to the region, and in the UAE that is a valuable trait for a company to display. Continued attendance will show a company to be an investor in its industry, which can be translated as a company being successful. Again, being seen to succeed is an important element of doing business in the UAE. CABSAT 2016 saw 60 companies exhibiting as part of the UKTI delegation. Focusing on television and content, the 22nd edition of the show took place at the beginning of March and secured sponsorship from ITV Studios.
UK companies are already aware of the regional opportunity, and we’re on hand to support.
