The BCB has a small but highly effective team on the ground in the UAE to help British companies get underway. We are proud to boast a spectrum of experience across different industries and sectors, both within the UAE and internationally, so we have a better understanding of our clients’ many and varied requirements. We are all passionate about British business, love the UAE and hugely excited about working with the best UK SMEs and helping them get established in the region.

Joe Hepworth

Joe is the BCB’s founder & first CEO.  He launched the company in mid-2014 and since then has supported over 100 UK exporters with their market-entry plans in the UAE through the BCB’s Incubator and Trade Services divisions.  In the UAE since 2008, Joe managed a retail business through the Global Financial Crisis in Dubai and then moved into the world of FDI with The Links Group before working with UK SME Event Marketing Solutions to launch the brand in the GCC region.  Prior to that, he enjoyed a successful career in the container shipping industry with P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk Line, which encompassed senior commercial roles in Holland, China, Russia, Sweden and India.

She has moved to Dubai from Jordan. Back in Jordan, she had experience working with different international Non-Governmental Organizations in the administration and logistics field. She had also been involved in handling finances and accounting.

When she is not at work, May spends an awful lot of time skyping with her family and friends back home. When she gets over feeling homesick, she loves spending time on the beach and enjoying good food.

She spends most weekends playing host/tour guide to the constant stream of family and friends who make Dubai their go-to holiday and stopover destination. She loves food (eating more than cooking) and her idea of ‘me time’ is being curled up with a good book.

                  Vineetha Sony

Vineetha is trade manager with the BCB taking care of the Financial and Business Services Sector. Before joining the BCB early this year, she has dabbled in varied roles across different industries in the UAE and India.

She started working in 2003 as an English newscaster in an India-based television channel, from where she moved to the Human resources department of IBM global services.

In 2006, marriage brought her to Dubai where she joined a leading consultancy firm as recruitment manager. It took her a few years more to realise that hiring people was not her cup of tea and she tried her hand at events, both on a freelance basis and in association with a leading events management company.

If you can’t reach Vineetha on weekends, it’s most likely that she’s either engaging in cheap thrills scaring herself witless bungee jumping/para sailing/i-flying or being downright lazy curled up on her couch watching the latest psycho – thriller series on TV.
